Tides Medical manufactures and distributes amniotic skin grafts, a purchasing process involving patient health information, insurance benefits, and multi-office coordination.

Clinicians buying grafts had no dedicated ordering system, relying on email with little guidance and no status visibility. MyPortal, Tides' existing customer portal, saw low adoption due to poor usability, an outdated interface, and no online ordering.

We created Tides' first digital ordering experience in MyPortal, coordinating across 6 departments and rebuilding the platform's entire design system along the way.

What we did

Collaborated with Reimbursement and Customer Service to design a multi-flow ordering experience supporting both individual and batch orders at clinicians' preferred pace and complexity.

Gave customers full visibility into their order details and history for the first time, reducing the need to contact Customer Service for updates.

Extended the ordering experience beyond MyPortal with email notifications, keeping clinicians informed at every step of their order.

This project is under wraps for now because of confidentiality, but I'm happy to chat about it.
